‘Bringing the Alps to Sochi’ - the slogan of the Tirol Tourist Board and its partners for the Winter Olympics in Sochi symbolises their tireless and passionate promotion of the Tirol brand. Tirol has already featured three times at the Olympics: the city of Innsbruck hosted the Winter Olympic Games in 1964 and 1976; and in January 2012, the first Youth Olympic Games (YOG) was held here, in the Heart of the Alps.
From Innsbruck to London to Sochi
Austria House Tirol received a hugely positive response at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and, with the on-going cooperation between Tirol and the Austrian Olympic Committee (ÖOC), everything looks set for this success story to continue at Sochi. Alongside the excitement of Sochi’s winter sports events, Austria Tirol House is a ‘place to be’ for athletes, politicians, business people, sponsors and partners, with an exciting variety of B2B and B2C events being laid on between the 7th and 23rd of February 2014. The public area will also provide international Olympic visitors with the opportunity to experience authentic Tirol hospitality as well as learn more about the four partner regions of Innsbruck, Ischgl, Seefeld and Zillertal.
